Marshall Keene spent 24 years working in various capacities in Law Enforcement to include Command & Supervisory roles in Patrol, Criminal Investigations and in the School Resource Officer Unit. He participated on the SWAT team, for seven years, eventually becoming the SWAT Team Commander. He has lead numerous high risk search warrants and Incident Command situations, many requiring multi agency responses. Marshall has been integral in the implementation of school violence response trainings and best practices at multi agencies with law enforcement and school administrators. Marshall joined Spotsylvania Public Schools as the School Safety Coordinator in 2023. He currently is the liaison between the school division and emergency responders. His responsibilities include overseeing the Division Standard Response Team, school safety inspections, various school safety related trainings, drill management, crisis management plans, event plans of actions and numerous other tasks related to the safety of students and staff.
